Welcome to Sid's O-Week website. This website is designed to give incoming students information about Sid and O-Week. Though the defnitive guide to O-Week is the book you received in the mail (or will be receiving soon), this website also contains a lot of useful and interesting information. You'll also find helpful links and copies of forms you may have lost. Though you can feel free to contact your coordinators and advisors, we recommend that you read the book and this website first. You'll find that a lot of your questions will be answered.
Also, be sure to check this page throughout the summer. Important changes or announcements may be posted here.
Everyone at Sid is so excited for you to get here so that O-Week can begin. A lot of planning and preparation has gone on to make sure that you have the best experience not only during O-Week but also for the rest of your first year. On Sunday August 17th, you will be greeted by your extremely crazy and amazing advisors who will move you in and show you the awesomeness of the Tower of Power and Rice (don't be scared if they know everything about you, it's their job).
College is an amazing experience considered by many to have been the best four years of their life so know that you are about to embark on great journey that will start off with a bang during your O-Week. O-Week is one of the rare times where you and your class will be together almost exclusively so take the opportunity to bond with your group and everyone else you meet because it's very likely that you won't be alone with just your class until you graduate your senior year.
If you have any questions (maybe your parents are freaking out about losing their "baby"), we encourage you to get in touch with us via e-mail at sidoweek@gmail.com or the Masters, RAs or Kelly (you can find their contact information on the contact info page). Your advisors will be in touch with you as well and are highly capable of answering your questions. If you have an account, be sure to join the Sid Class of 2012 facebook group as well as the Sid O-Week facebook group so that we can answer questions you might have and so you can have a forum to chat with other new Sidizens. We hope you’re as pumped for O-Week as we are!
